What to expect...
Gathering together for a time of worshipping God is the highlight of the week at First Baptist. If you are new to the area, traveling or looking for a church home we encourage you to be our guest. We’ve developed this section of our website to answer some questions you may have and to help you feel more comfortable as you come on our campus.
Through our choir, ensemble groups, soloists and mucisians you’ll experience an amazing time of worship directed to God Himself. The music ministry of First Baptist seeks to lead and facilitate a worshipful environment for those who are in attendance each week.
At First Baptist we encourage you to come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing business-casual attire. Don’t be surprised if you see very few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.
Childcare is provided for Birth-3 years at First Baptist on Sundays and Wed evenings. This enables parents to attend both a worship service and Bible Class. For children 4 and older a Bible class (CIA - Children In Action) is provided for them when you are attending service. We offer a safe environment and secure facility.
We have Sunday "Bible Studies For Life" groups that meet at 9:30 a.m. where we have a great time of fellowship along with some small breakfast items, coffee (and juices for you non-coffee drinkers) starting at 9:15 a.m. So come early so we can get to know you.
On Sunday mornings you will greeted at the door and given an information piece detailing what is currently going on in the life of the Church. If you are a 1st-timer and need to know where you or your children are to go, our greeters will be delighted to take you to the right places. (Click the "Get Connected" tab above to find out where you can plug in).
After Small Group ends at 10:30, we gather in the Sanctuary for our morning worship service which begins at 10:45. Again, when you enter you will be met by one of our friendly greeters to welcome you and help you find a seat if you would like assistance.
During worship we:
At the conclusion of the service we give an opportunity for those who would like to become a part of the FBC family to do so! The Pastor will be available to answer any questions you may have about our church or what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
After the service is over, the Pastor will be in the foyer to greet you and thank you for being with us in worship. We will have audio CD's available of the message if you would like to take one to share with a friend or utilize for further study.
