What to expect...

Gathering together for a time of worshipping God is the highlight of the week at First Baptist. If you are new to the area, traveling or looking for a church home we encourage you to be our guest. We’ve developed this section of our website to answer some questions you may have and to help you feel more comfortable as you come on our campus.

  • Worship Style
  • Through our choir, ensemble groups, soloists and mucisians you’ll experience an amazing time of worship directed to God Himself. The music ministry of First Baptist seeks to lead and facilitate a worshipful environment for those who are in attendance each week.

  • What should I wear?
  • We encourage you to come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing 'business-casual' attire. Don’t be surprised if you see very few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.

  • What about my kids?
  • Childcare is provided for Birth-3 years on Sundays and Wed evenings. This enables parents to attend both a worship service and Bible Class. For children 4 and older a Bible class C.I.A. (Children In Action) is provided while you attend services. We offer a safe environment and secure facility.

  • Small Group Bible Studies @ 9:30 a.m.
  • On Sunday mornings you will greeted at the door and given an information piece detailing what is currently going on in the life of the Church.

We have Sunday "Bible Studies For Life" groups that meet at 9:30 a.m. where we have a great time of fellowship along with coffee and juices starting at 9:15 a.m. So come early so we can chat and get to know you.

If you are a 1st-timer and need to know where you or your children are to go, our greeters will be delighted to take you to the right places.

  • Worship @ 10:45 a.m.
  • After Small Group ends at 10:30, we gather in the Sanctuary for our morning worship service which begins at 10:45. When you enter you will be met by one of our friendly greeters to help you find a seat if you would like assistance.

    During worship we:

  • Have an informal time to introduce ourselves to you and welcome you!
  • Ask our 1st-time guests to fill out a welcome card found in the book rack on the pew and place it in the offering plate during the offering at the end of the service
  • Worship the Lord in music and praise
  • Hear a message from God's Word
  • Invite you to respond to what God is saying to you.
  • Honor God with our giving (expected of members but not guests)
  • Sing a benediction song
  • At the conclusion of the morning message, we give an opportunity for those who would like to become a part of the FBC family to do so! Our Pastors will be available to answer any questions you may have about our church or what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

After the service is over, our Pastors will be in the foyer to greet you and thank you for being with us in worship. We have audio CD's available of the message if you would like to take one to share with a friend or utilize for further study. We hope to see you in church!
